How wonderful it is to look back on our fond memories, whether they are of family, friends, or companions who brought us happiness for a brief period of time and supported us through life's struggles. It's so important to express gratitude to those who were there for us in the beginning, when we felt alone or were facing hardships. Let's commit to helping others, even if it means sacrificing our own time.
Gratitude means remembering the times when God helped us through his words, and sent people into our lives when we were in deep trouble, agonizing in pain, and sadness. We need to give our time to God as much as we give time for ourselves because beyond hope, joy, love, and support, only God can truly fulfill us.
Let's take time to reflect on ourselves and reconnect with Him. I recommend that you take a piece of paper, or a notebook so you can write it.
This will help you to self reflect:
What has been hindering my relationship with God lately?
Am I spending enough time in prayer and reading the Bible?
Have I been actively seeking God's will for my life?
Have I been grateful for the blessings God has given me?
Have I been honest with God about my struggles and shortcomings?
Have I been seeking forgiveness for my sins and asking God to help me overcome them?
Have I been serving others and sharing the love of Christ with those around me?
Note: You can choose any questions you would like to answer. You do not have to answer all of the questions in a single sitting. Remember, the thoughts that you put on paper should be honest and truthful.
These self-reflection questions can help you identify areas where you may need to improve your relationship with God and take steps to reconnect with Him. It's important to remember that God loves us unconditionally and is always waiting for us to come to Him, no matter what our circumstances in life.
